His recent conducting activities include performances with orchestras
in Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic and Japan.
Otis Klöber will make his Japan Debut conducting the Hamamatsu Philharmonic
Orchestra with works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Rachmaninov and will be
on tour with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Since 2004 Chief Conductor of the Deutsch-Niederländische KammerPhilharmonie and
since 2010 Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of
Europe, Otis Klöber had established himself not only as solo bassoonist with major
European orchestras (London Symphony Orchestra / Mahler Chamber Orchestra)
working with great conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Georg Solti, Valery Gergiev
and Vladimir Ashkenazy, but also primarily as chamber musician at the highest level
before pursuing his successful career as conductor.
Besides plans with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Europe, important debuts and re-invitations
include engagements with such orchestras as Czech National Symphony Orchestra,
The Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, WDR Chamber Orchestra Cologne, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Hamamatsu Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Rubinstein Philharmonic Orchestra Lodz, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie, Chamber Orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin, Folkwang Chamber Orchestra Essen, Camerata Salzburg, amongst others.

Sergey Dogadin, Liza Ferschtman, Uta Kunert, Antje Weithaas, Natalja Gutman, Vladimir Mendelssohn,
Peter Bruns, Clemens Hagen, Mendelssohn Trio Berlin, Dimension Trio, Fine Arts Quartet, Albrecht Mayer,
Stefan Schilli, Dimitri Ashkenazy, Emily Beynon, Tine Thing Helseth and Radovan Vlatkovic, just to name a few.
His international career brought him to such venues as the Amsterdam Muziekgebouw, Royal Festival Hall London, Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Konzerthaus, Tonhalle Zürich, Izumi Concerthall Osaka as well as to renowned festivals including the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, Charlemagne Music Festival, Rheingau Music Festival, Biennale
di Venezia, Lucerne Festival and the Vienna Modern.
A strong advocate of contemporary music, Otis Klöber has performed a great number of works by composers including Louis Andriessen, Wolfgang Rihm, Isang Yun, John Zorn, Sofia Gubaidulina, Chen Ziaoyong,
Gilead Mishory.
Otis Klöber has recorded for Naxos, VMS, Pan Classics, LTE-Records, Brilliant Classics and Berlin Classics.
In a recent live-recording with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Europe for the orchestra`s own POE LIVE Classics label he conducts works by Bizet, Mascagni and Brahms’ Second Symphony.
