In August 2008, after an enthusiastically received performance with works by Beethoven and Brahms with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Europe, conducted by the orchestra`s Principal Conductor Otis Klöber, the orchestra was obliged to satisfy the rapturous applause with two encores: Mascagni`s Intermezzo from Cavalleria rusticana and the “Farandole” from Bizet’s L`Arlésienne Suite, written for the play of the same name by Alphonse Daudet. The concert was recorded live for the orchestra´s own label POE LIVE Classics.
